Workshops with Rajani & Yasmina

Mark your calendars for Saturday October 16th a day of workshops and shopping. 

The event will be held at the Yasmina's downtown studio - 156 W. 3rd Pl, Mesa, AZ 85201 (cross streets - University between Country Club & Center) 

There will be two workshops during the day taught by Rajani and Yasmina.  Workshops will be from 10 - 11:30 and from 12:30 - 2 p.m.  Workshops are $15 each or both for $25 before October 12th.

About the workshops and instructor:

Tribal Asian Fusion  
with Yasmina / 10 - 11:30
A fusion of tribal moves, Asian influenced moves, Indian Mudras and Thai nails are combined to create this fun dance.

Thai nails will be available for purchase at the workshop; they are optional.

About Yasmina:

Yasmina teaches both cabaret and tribal dance styles.  She owns Shimmy Bliss Costuming Co. which caters to the tribal dancer.  Her labor of love website, www.joyofbellydancing.com is known worldwide.

Yasmina teaches workshops around the State of AZ as well as out of State and offers monthly mini workshops in her home studio.  She also teaches classes at the Mesa Art Center in downtown Mesa.  Check out her class and workshop page for upcoming classes and workshops.

After her first belly dance class she was hooked on this beautiful art form and hasn't stopped learning and dancing.  It's now her livelihood and life couldn't be better.

Gitanna Style Skirt

Rajani’s current passion is Gitanna Style or Spanish Gypsy.   In this workshop you will learn how to incorporate parts of Zambra into your dance, using colorful skirts, and the drama of the bullfight into a passionate, exhilarating dance.

About Rajani:

Rajani, originally from Silver City NM, has been dancing professionally for 27 years and has had the privilege of teaching for over 23 years. She has taught workshops throughout New Mexico, and other parts in the southwest. 

She has taken many workshops, including Turkish, Tunisian, Egyptian Cabaret and American Tribal amount countless others. Rajani has also taken other styles of dance, Modern, Jazz, Flamenco, to bring diversity to her dance. Her teaching degree gives her the unique ability to teach and encourage dance students to achieve their goals. 

Originally belonging to the Dancers of the Silver Dunes, she also belonged to the Copper Lotus Dancers, Society of Creative Anachronism, and now she is the founder and director of Desert Menagerie in Safford Arizona. She has performed at various Renaissance Fairs, special events, art fairs and especially enjoys dancing for fund raisers that support the fight against Breast Cancer.
Rajani has been described as a natural dancer with an ability to mesmerize and delight her audience.
